2021 April Presbytery Meeting

A Stated Meeting of the Presbytery of Blackhawk was held on April 13, 2021 via a Zoom video conference. Commissioners watched a presentation by Rev. Dr. Kathryn Threadgill on the Seven Marks of a Vital Congregation. Congregational Vitality is one of the three areas of focus of the Matthew 25 initiative, the topic of learning events throughout the year. Threadgill is the Associate Director of Theology, Formation and Evangelism for the Presbyterian Mission Agency of the Presbyterian Church (USA). Smaill group discussions followed her talk.
The assembly also heard from Rev. Dr. Craig Howard, a representative from Presbyterian Foundation. They adopted the new Policy for the Use of Proceeds of Dissolved Congregations, and approved and recognized the upcoming retirement of two Minister members, Rev. Dr. Craig Herr and Rev. Karen Gerhard-Conner. Please also see the minutes for the results of polling asking about future meeting preferences.
