Supporting Thriving Faith Communities in Northern Illinois

Presbyterian Women in the Presbytery of Blackhawk

The purpose of Presbyterian Women in the Presbytery of Blackhawk is to strengthen the program of Presbyterian Women in each congregation within the bounds of the presbytery, relating them to Presbyterian Women in the Synod of Lincoln Trails and to Presbyterian Women in the Presbyterian Church (USA), and together striving to fulfill the common purpose:

Forgiven and freed by God in Jesus Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves:
to nurture our faith through prayer and Bible study,
to support the mission of the church worldwide,
to work for justice and peace, and
to build an inclusive, caring community of women that strengthens the Presbyterian Church (USA)
and witnesses to the promise of God's kingdom.
